Positioned on a hill looking out across the medina in the historical district, this traditional hotel is close to the Marinid Tombs and the Bou Inania Madrasa. An expansive terrace features an outdoor swimming pool, and there are two restaurants, including an eatery serving Moroccan specialties with a view of the city. L'Hotel by Chateau de Sable, Erfoud (night 5)

A boutique hotel, built in a traditional Moroccan design and surrounded by desert landscapes. Guests have access to two outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, a restaurant, two panoramic terraces and bars overlooking Erfoud and the desert. Each simply decorated guestroom has a TV, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi, with views of either the pool, gardens, mountains, or palm groves.

Hotel Xaluca Dadès, Dadès (night 6-7)

With views of the Dadès Valley in the mountains, this hotel is built in a Berber-style of traditional Moorish architecture. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a spa with a hammam, a restaurant with a vibrant glass ceiling, a bar, a fitness room and tennis courts. Guestrooms feature exposed brick, wood-beamed ceilings, and Moroccan décor, along with TVs, mini-bars, and Wi-Fi.
